Tzedakah Box, Congregation Mishkan Israel- New Haven, Connecticut. Established in 1840, Mishkan Israel was the first congregation in Connecticut. This building was completed in 1897 and designed by Arnold Brunner. Since most of the community moved from the inner city to the suburbs, it now serves as the New Haven Art Center.
